                 Tim Mann Music Timeline

1988--forms first band, 'Mother's Lament' plays first gig

1989--forms band 'Conundrum', and acoustic duo 'Wooden Nickel'.

1991--Tim begins solo career

1992--Tim records first studio demo--4 song cassette, 'Tim Mann'.

1992--Tim joins 'The Rolling Thunder Band', playing bass. Playing mainly covers of San Francisco based rock (Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane )

1994-- Tim records 5-song demo 'Mann's Fate'

1995--Tim records 9-song demo 'Bootlegger's Banquet'

1996--Tim relocates to New England from New York State, and begins playing solo around the Boston area.

1998--Tim Forms 'The Tim Mann Expediton' and starts recording his first CD

1999--'The Tim Mann Expedition' is released

2001--Tim begins recording 'Hillside Sessions'.

2002--"Hillside Sessions', a 4-song EP is released

2003--Tim teams up with Greg Hawkes  and forms 'The Diamond Hearts'.

2004--Tim begins recording 'The Diamond Hearts', with band members Greg Hawkes and David Rizzuti

2004--Tim and Greg join
'Ukulele Noir'

2005--'The Diamond Hearts' a 5-song CD is completed.

2005--The Diamond Hearts disbands, as Greg joins 'The New Cars'. Tim begins recording his solo CD.

2007-- 'Distant Strangers' CD released

Tim's first public appearance was in1985 at a high school talent show, playing cover songs by Neil Young and the Grateful Dead. After high school Tim spent several years studying the origins of rock though blues artists like B.B King, Robert Johnson, Freddie King, and Albert King. Combining all these influences Tim wrote his first song at the age of twenty and formed his band a blues trio at the age of twenty one.
